Today, being Monday, the first busy day of your week, we pray that you get your 'JOY' ON and praise the LORD with us, the whole week long!

Life can be really tough!  Worse than that!  There are times when although your personal circumstances seem like nothing could ever get worse, well, they can, and at times, they do! Your problems on any given day could be so desperate that you cannot find any hope in them changing for your good.  You can be so trapped that there is nowhere to turn, no way out, no way of escape, no answer that you could think up or imagine that would bring relief.

You can find yourself in a horrible situation that you have caused by your own sins. Even though you have confessed your sins and have been cleansed of all unrighteousness according to 1 John 1:9, there happens to be consequences to your actions.  You can also find yourself in a horrible situation that others have caused for you by their sins.

What you do know for sure is that in your past, present or your future, there is no way of completely escaping suffering in your lifetime.  I am not being fatalistic, I am being honest and speaking from the experiences of a person who in the past has personally sinned and caused my own suffering.  I have also been the victim of other peoples sins against me, causing me a great deal of suffering and pain.  A husband, wife, son, daughter, father, mother, friend or a complete stranger may the source of your very real pain.

No matter how tough or horrible things are, the LORD will never forsake you, HE will never leave or abandon you, and that goes for no matter who was responsible for your circumstances!  HE will deliver HIS people, no matter what!  Do not give up on HIM, do not think or say that your situation is too difficult or too complicated for HIM!  

Resist your feelings and emotions of despair.  Look up to the LORD, look to HIS answers, look to HIS promises in HIS Word. Confess HIS Word with your mouth: "Satisfy us in the morning with YOUR unfailing love, that we may sing for 'JOY' and be glad all our days."  Today and everyday, live your life in the 'JOY' of the LORD!
