"For HIS anger lasts only a moment, but HIS favour lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning."
Psalms 30:5

Today, being Monday, the first busy day of your week, we pray that you get your 'JOY' ON and praise the LORD with us, the whole week long!

"For HIS anger lasts only a moment..." Sin against the LORD is to be taken seriously by you, and HIS gift of repentance brings godly sorrow to your heart.  Repentance from your sins allows you to experience, just how HIS favour lasts a lifetime.

It may well be that in your mind, the scales of forgiveness over your sins are not balanced. Even sin as serious as it is is not equal to the grace and forgiveness provided by the LORD.  The scales always tip to the side of HIS grace, HIS love and HIS forgiveness.  Let's examine again the words this 'JOY' Scripture uses -

HIS anger lasts a moment . . .
HIS favour lasts a lifetime . . .

"weeping may remain for a night..."  A night, not days, weeks, months or years.  1 John 1:9 tells us; "If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

You need to forgive yourself since the LORD has already forgiven you.  It does not bring glory to GOD to think of yourself higher than HIM by torturing yourself over personal sins HE has already forgiven.

"but rejoicing comes in the morning."  Forgiveness and restoration bring rejoicing when the night of your weeping has passed.  Your hope is in the reality that the morning is on it's way. The sun will rise and daylight will take it's place over the night.  Today and everyday, live your life in the 'JOY' of the LORD!
